How do I keep my first and last name from appearing in the FROM: line of an email?

Mail page%26gt;%26gt;options (top right corner)%26gt;%26gt;scroll to and click general preferences.

Under *Names and Emails* at the top of that page, is where you can change the "from" line name. Just erase what's there, and put in anything you want---a nickname--or whatever suits you-----then click "save" at bottom of page.

In case you're using Beta mail----go to mail page%26gt;%26gt;options%26gt;%26gt;mail options%26gt;%26gt;accounts (side panel)%26gt;%26gt;add/edit an account%26gt;%26gt;select Yahoo mail (side panel)%26gt;%26gt;edit%26gt;%26gt;general preferences.

Change it and save it.

use an alias
Reply:In your email settings, use your email address instead of your name.

For instance, in Outlook Express, go to tools%26gt;accounts. Choose your mail account and hit properties. On the general tab where it says name, put your email address instead of your name.
Reply:don't send anything you wont put your name to !
Reply:If it is Yahoo and I will assume it is.

You goto a little tab called "my account" I think. Then you goto personal profile I think. You can edit what shows up in the subject line and who the message if from.

You could make it say something dorky like "squirrel master" or something.

Good luck.
Reply:go to your emails profile and change your real name. just use initials or just your first name twice.theres a 24-48 hr provisioning timeframe. just test it by emailing yourself at your other email address
